It reflects both authors' sustained cross-cultural engagement: Crocco's years living, teaching, and conducting fieldwork across Southeast Asia, from community-based organizations on the Thai-Myanmar border to a visiting professorship at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, and Ghosh's scholarship on developmental relationships and mentoring across cultural contexts.
